Terms of Service

The rules for using Versus: your account, your balance, how matches are played and settled, and what we expect from every player.

Last updated 28 October 2026

The short version
  • 1You must be 18 or older and allowed to take part in paid skill challenges where you live.
  • 21 Coin = 1 USDT. Your stake is held in escrow from the moment you join a room and is only released by the match result or a refund.
  • 3The platform fee comes out of the pot, only when a match has a winner. Draws, refunds and cancelled rooms are free.
  • 4Results are reported by the players; conflicting reports go to an admin. False reports lose the stake and can get the account banned.
  • 5Withdrawals need two-factor authentication, a saved address and a non-negative reputation. Blockchain transfers can't be reversed.
  • 6Referral commission is paid out of the platform fee β€” never out of anyone's stake.

A quick summary to help you read β€” the full text below is what applies.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Versus ("Versus", "we", "us") and govern your use of versus.center, its apps and every related service (together, the "Service").

You accept these Terms when you tick the "I'm 18+ and agree" box at sign-up, or by using the Service in any way. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and the live rates on the Fees & referral commission page, which form part of them. Game-specific rules shown inside a room (for example the Rock Paper Scissors or Teamfight Tactics rules) also apply to that match.

These Terms may be shown in several languages. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails.

2. What Versus is

Versus is a platform where players challenge each other in games they already play β€” League of Legends, Valorant, Wild Rift, Arena of Valor, Teamfight Tactics β€” and in Rock Paper Scissors played directly on Versus. Players put up a stake, play the match, and the winner(s) receive the pot minus the platform fee.

Versus provides matchmaking (rooms), escrow of stakes, result collection, dispute review and payouts. Versus never plays against you and has no stake in the outcome of any match. We earn only the platform fee described in section 9 and the withdrawal fee described in section 6.

Versus is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Riot Games, Tencent, Garena or any other game publisher. Game names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the game being played.

3. Who can use Versus

To use the Service you must:

  • be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher;
  • be legally allowed to take part in paid skill-based competitions, and to hold and transfer crypto-assets, in the place where you are located;
  • not be on any sanctions list, and not be located in a country or territory where the Service is prohibited or which we have restricted;
  • use the Service only for yourself β€” not on behalf of, or with money belonging to, anyone else.

You are responsible for checking that using Versus is legal where you are. We may restrict access from certain locations at any time, and we may ask you to prove your age, identity or location (see section 15).

Each person may have only one account. Creating or controlling more than one account β€” including for referral bonuses or to play against yourself β€” is prohibited.

4. Your account and security

Sign-in. You sign in with Google. Versus never sees or stores your Google password; Google verifies it's you, including 2-Step Verification if you use it. We receive only your name, email address and profile picture (see the Privacy Policy).

Username and profile. You pick a username (2–30 characters) shown to other players in rooms, in match history and on the leaderboard. You may add a short bio (up to 160 characters) and the in-game account names you play with. Usernames and bios must not impersonate anyone, be offensive, or include contact details, links or advertising. We may change or remove any that do.

In-game accounts. The in-game account you register for a game must be your own, and must be the one you actually use in the match. Playing on someone else's account, or letting someone else play on yours (account sharing, "boosting", smurfing to mislead opponents), is prohibited.

Two-factor authentication (2FA). 2FA with an authenticator app is required to withdraw. Keep your recovery codes somewhere safe: each works once, and they are shown only when you set up 2FA. We can't recover funds taken by someone who had access to your Google account, your authenticator or your recovery codes.

You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately at support@versus.center if you think your account has been compromised. We may lock an account to protect it β€” a locked account cannot sign in until the issue is resolved with support.

5. Coin, balance and escrow

Your balance is shown in Coin. 1 Coin equals 1 USDT (Tether). Amounts are tracked in whole cents (0.01 Coin).

  • Available balance β€” can be staked or withdrawn.
  • In escrow β€” stakes locked in rooms you have joined. Escrowed Coin can't be withdrawn or used elsewhere until the match settles or the stake is refunded.
  • Pending withdrawal β€” already taken off your balance while a withdrawal is being processed; returned to your balance if the withdrawal is rejected or fails.

Your balance is not a bank account or deposit, earns no interest, and is not insured by any government scheme. Coin can't be transferred between users, sold or exchanged except by withdrawing it under section 6.

Every movement of your balance β€” deposits, withdrawals, stakes held and refunded, prizes, referral commission, mission and milestone rewards, and admin adjustments β€” is recorded in your wallet history. If we credit your balance by mistake (for example because of a bug or a reversed payment), we may correct it, and you agree not to withdraw or use amounts you know were credited in error.

6. Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals are processed by our payment provider NOWPayments (nowpayments.io). By using them you also accept NOWPayments' own terms. Versus never asks for your private keys or seed phrase β€” anyone who does is not us.

Deposits

  • Deposits are made in USDT on the networks offered in the wallet. Each network has its own minimum (shown before you pay), and there is an overall maximum per deposit. Other coins, where offered, are converted at the rate shown before you pay.
  • Send the exact amount on the exact network shown. Sending a different token, using a different network, or sending to an expired or closed deposit address may lose the funds permanently; we can't reverse blockchain transactions.
  • Network (gas) fees and any exchange withdrawal fees are paid by you, on top of the deposit amount.
  • Your balance is credited once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, usually within 1–30 minutes. A fixed-rate deposit expires at the time shown; a floating-rate deposit stays open for up to 7 days.
  • If noticeably less than the requested amount arrives, we credit what was actually received. If you cancel a deposit but the funds still arrive, they are still credited.

Withdrawals

  • You can withdraw only to a wallet address you have saved. A newly saved address can only be used after a waiting period (shown in the wallet, in hours) to protect you if your account is taken over.
  • Every withdrawal requires a code from your authenticator app or a recovery code.
  • Withdrawals are subject to a minimum amount and a maximum per 24 hours, shown in the wallet. Larger withdrawals, or ones flagged by our checks, are reviewed manually before they are sent.
  • Fees: a platform withdrawal fee (a percentage shown before you confirm) is kept from the amount you withdraw, and the blockchain network fee charged by NOWPayments is also deducted from what is sent. The full requested amount is taken from your balance; the confirmation screen shows what you'll receive.
  • Withdrawals are on hold while your reputation score is negative (see section 8) or while your account is under review.
  • A rejected or failed withdrawal is refunded to your balance in full. Once a withdrawal is sent to the blockchain it can't be reversed. You are responsible for entering a correct address on the correct network.

We may temporarily pause deposits or withdrawals for maintenance, security incidents, provider outages or legal reasons. Your balance stays safe on your account during a pause.

7. Rooms and matches

Creating a room. The host chooses the game, the mode (1 vs 1, 5 vs 5, or an 8-player Teamfight Tactics lobby), the stake per player (from 1 to 1,000 Coin), and optionally a game region and the custom in-game lobby ID and password. Lobby details are visible only to players in the room.

Joining and readying up. You can be in only one room at a time. Before you join you see the stake and the room details; you need enough available balance to cover the stake to ready up. Your stake is locked in escrow when you join and stays there until the match settles or is refunded.

Before the match starts you may leave the room and your stake is returned. The host may remove players and edit room info before the start; if the host leaves, the room is handed to another player. If a room doesn't fill or start before its timer ends, it is cancelled and every stake is refunded automatically.

Starting. For team games the host starts the match once every seat is filled and everyone is ready. Teamfight Tactics lobbies start automatically when all 8 players are ready. Once started, leaving the room does not return your stake β€” it stays held until the result is decided, and you can still report from Match History.

Playing. Except for Rock Paper Scissors, matches are played in the publisher's game client, outside Versus. You must follow the agreed room settings and the game publisher's own rules and terms. Disconnects, crashes, server problems or game updates on the publisher's side are part of the match unless an admin decides otherwise under section 8.

8. Results, disputes and reputation

Reporting (team games). After the match, every player reports whether their team won or lost within the report window shown in the room. You may change your answer until the result is decided.

  • If the reports agree, the match settles and pays out immediately.
  • If reports conflict, or not enough players report in time, the match goes to admin review. Stakes stay locked until it settles.
  • If no winner can be determined, the match is refunded β€” every player gets their own stake back with no fee.

Teamfight Tactics. Each player reports their own final placement (1st–8th). If every placement lines up into a clean 1st–8th ranking, the match pays out automatically; otherwise an admin reviews it.

Rock Paper Scissors. Both picks are sealed when made and revealed together, so neither player can see the other's move first. A draw is replayed instantly until someone wins. If you don't pick before the timer ends (8 seconds), a random move is played for you. RPS results are decided by Versus automatically: there is nothing to report and RPS results can't be disputed, except for a technical fault on our side.

Evidence and admin review. Each player can upload up to 5 screenshots per match; evidence is visible to the other players in the room and to admins. Room chat is logged and may also be used to decide disputes. Admins may request more evidence (for example a replay or match history from the game client) and may decide based on the evidence available. The admin's decision is final, except that you may ask support to re-check a decision within 7 days if you have new evidence.

False result reports lose the stake and can get the account banned.

Reputation score. Every account has a reputation score: +1 for each match you play to settlement, βˆ’5 for not reporting a result, and βˆ’5 for a report that doesn't match the final decision. While your reputation is negative, withdrawals are on hold until it recovers.

9. Prizes and the platform fee

The pot is the sum of every player's stake. When a match has a winner, Versus takes a platform fee out of the pot β€” the fee is never added on top of your stake. The current fee rates (one rate for most games and one for Teamfight Tactics) are shown live on the Fees page and in every room's prize card before you join.

No fee is charged on a draw, a refunded match, or a room cancelled before it starts β€” every player simply gets their own stake back.

  • 1 vs 1 and 5 vs 5: the pot minus the fee is split equally between the players on the winning team.
  • Teamfight Tactics: the pot minus the fee forms the prize pool, paid to the top 4 as 44% / 24% / 17% / 15%. Places 5–8 receive nothing.
  • Rock Paper Scissors: the winner receives the pot minus the fee. A rematch keeps the same stake.

Prizes are calculated in whole cents and rounded down; any fraction of a cent left over is kept by Versus. The amount shown before the match is a preview β€” the exact payout is computed when the match settles. Prizes are credited to your balance as soon as the match settles.

We may change the fee rates going forward. A change never applies to a match that has already started.

Example (5 vs 5, 10 Coin stake, 10% fee)Amount
Pot (10 players Γ— 10 Coin)100 Coin
Platform fee10 Coin
Each of the 5 winners receives18 Coin

The example uses an illustrative 10% fee. The rate that actually applies is the one shown on the Fees page and in the room.

10. Referral program

Every account has a referral code and invite link. A friend can enter your code when signing up (an invite link is remembered on their device for 30 days). A code can be applied only once, only to a new account, and can't be changed afterwards.

  • Commission: each time a friend you referred plays a match that settles with a platform fee, you, as their direct referrer, receive a share of the fee their match generated. The current share is shown on the Fees page. Only the direct referrer earns β€” there are no multi-level tiers.
  • Commission is paid out of the platform fee, never out of anyone's stake or winnings β€” being referred never costs your friend anything.
  • Commission is credited to your balance the moment the match settles.
  • Milestones: a friend counts as qualified once they finish their first match. Reaching a milestone unlocks a one-time bonus that you claim from the Referral page; milestone rewards don't expire.

Referring yourself, creating fake or duplicate accounts, colluding with referred players to generate fees, buying referrals, or spamming or misleading people to get sign-ups is prohibited. We may withhold, reverse or cancel commission and rewards obtained this way and close the accounts involved. We may change or end the referral program going forward; commission already credited stays yours unless it was obtained through abuse.

11. Missions and promotions

Missions reward you for activity during a daily, weekly or monthly period β€” for example playing a number of matches or inviting friends who play their first match. Progress resets when the period ends, as shown on the Missions page. Rewards are claimed from the Missions page and go straight to your balance.

Specific promotions may come with their own conditions, shown with the promotion. We may change, pause or end missions and promotions at any time, and we may void rewards earned through abuse, collusion or any breach of these Terms.

12. Fair play and prohibited conduct

Versus only works if every match is real. You must not:

  • fix matches, lose on purpose, or arrange results with opponents or teammates (collusion);
  • use cheats, hacks, scripts, macros, bots, modified clients or any tool that gives an unfair advantage, or try to see or influence another player's Rock Paper Scissors pick;
  • play on another person's game account, let someone else play for you, or misrepresent your skill level to mislead opponents;
  • submit a false result report, fake or edited evidence, or reports designed to trigger an unfair review;
  • hold multiple Versus accounts, play against yourself, or use another person's identity or payment method;
  • exploit bugs or errors in the Service, or fail to report a bug you know is giving you money you aren't entitled to;
  • use Versus to launder money, move funds from illegal activity, or evade sanctions;
  • harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against other players in chat, usernames, bios or evidence; post illegal, sexual or violent content; spam or advertise;
  • interfere with the Service β€” scraping, overloading, probing for vulnerabilities without our permission, or bypassing security or limits.

If we reasonably believe you have broken these rules we may, depending on how serious it is: cancel or reverse the affected matches and rewards, forfeit stakes connected to the breach to the players who were harmed, lower your reputation, restrict features, suspend or permanently ban your account, and report the matter to the relevant authorities.

13. Play responsibly

Playing for stakes involves the risk of losing money. Only stake what you can afford to lose, and don't treat Versus as a source of income. Take breaks, and don't chase losses.

If you feel your play is becoming a problem, contact support@versus.center and we can close your account or block it for a period you choose (self-exclusion). During self-exclusion you won't be able to join matches, and we won't send you promotions. Independent help is also available from organizations such as Gamblers Anonymous and local support services in your country.

14. Suspension, closure and termination

You can stop using Versus at any time and ask us to close your account via support@versus.center. Before closing, withdraw your available balance; any open match must settle first.

We may suspend, restrict or close your account, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your account shows signs of fraud or compromise, or if continuing would expose Versus or other players to legal or financial risk. Where we close an account that hasn't broken these Terms, we'll return its available balance (less any amounts owed to us) to a wallet address you control, after any required checks. Balances linked to fraud, abuse or illegal activity may be withheld while we investigate and, where the law allows, forfeited or returned to those harmed.

15. Verification, anti-money-laundering and taxes

We, and our payment provider, may ask you at any time to verify your identity, age, location or the source of your funds, for example with an ID document or proof of address. Until the checks are complete we may limit deposits, matches or withdrawals. We may refuse or reverse transactions and report suspicious activity where the law requires.

You are responsible for any taxes on your winnings, rewards or crypto transactions, and for reporting them where required. Versus does not give tax advice.

16. Third-party services

Versus relies on services we don't control, including Google (sign-in), NOWPayments (payments), public blockchains, and game publishers' clients and servers. Their availability, fees and terms are their own. We aren't responsible for their outages, errors, fees or decisions β€” such as a publisher banning a game account or a blockchain being congested β€” although we'll help where we reasonably can.

It is your responsibility to make sure that your participation in Versus matches doesn't break the terms of the game publisher whose game you play.

17. Your content and our intellectual property

You keep ownership of what you post β€” your username, bio, avatar, chat messages and evidence. You give Versus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and use that content to run the Service, decide disputes, enforce these Terms and, for usernames and match results, show them publicly (for example on the leaderboard). You confirm you have the right to post it.

The Service, the Versus name, logo, designs and software belong to Versus or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer them, except where the law allows.

18. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every country. Crypto-assets are volatile and blockchain transactions are irreversible; you use them at your own risk.

To the maximum extent the law allows, Versus is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits or opportunities, or losses caused by third-party services, your own devices or internet connection, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the platform and withdrawal fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) 100 USDT.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

You agree to compensate Versus for losses and reasonable costs caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

19. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms β€” for example to add games, change limits, or meet legal requirements. When we make a material change we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the Service or by email before it takes effect. Changes never apply retroactively to matches already started. If you keep using Versus after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you don't agree, you can withdraw your balance and close your account.

20. Disputes with Versus and governing law

If you have a complaint about Versus, contact support@versus.center first with your username and any request or match code. We aim to reply within 7 days and to resolve complaints within 30 days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Versus is established, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a right doesn't waive it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor operating the Service.

21. Contact
